World-class Emergency Medical Services through Netcare 911

When it comes to Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Bankmed members are in the hands of South Africa's top provider of such services, Netcare 911. Whether it is a ‘primary call' (a medical emergency) and a member has to be evacuated from a scene (via road or air), telephonic medical advice or an inter-hospital transfer, members have access to these world-class services through Netcare 911.

Bankmed members can rely on Netcare 911 and access its world-class Emergency Medical Services by dialing 082 911. If an inter-hospital transfer is required, the transferring facility will call Netcare 911 for authorisation.

Netcare 911 owns and manages its own fleet of more than 245 emergency vehicles and services include an Aeromedical Division. All emergency vehicles, helicopters and fixed wing aeroplanes are staffed by trauma and ICU trained doctors, a nurse and/or a paramedic.
