Ms Glenda Kathleen Ayton

Ms Ayton retired on 28 February 2018 after working for ABSA for 44 years. She joined ABSA in February 1974, and performed various roles within the Retail Banking environment including, Sales Advisor, Manager's Assistant - Mortgages, Business Development Officer - Mortgages, Credit Officer and Relationship Executive - Enterprise Banking.

Ms Ayton attained her National Certificate in Tourism in 1978 (by attending night classes). She studied through the Institute of Bankers, from 1996 to 1999 to attain her C.A.I.B, was awarded the President's trophy and received two gold medals at the I.O.B graduation ceremony (February 2000). Her interests include travel, playing tennis, walking, attending gym and gardening.

Mr Gert Lodewikus De Lange

Mr De Lange has gained the following expertise in the past 25 years: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Asset Consulting, Reporting on Investments and administration of a medical scheme of 54 000 members. He currently serves on the Bankmed Board of Trustees and has attended all of the Board of Trustees/Investment sub-committee meetings held.

Mr De Lange was able to resolve 100% of the 15 serious complaints received from members ranging from oncology, cardiac surgery and re-instatement of membership. He has confirmed that he promises that he will represent the interest of all Bankmed members to the best of his ability in an expedient manner.

Mr Vinod Kalicharran

Mr Kalicharran has 31 years' experience in the banking sector which focused on retail, commercial, SMME's, personal markets, credit and risk management, information systems, internal audit, home loan and debt collection. He is currently a Director and Board member of the Institute of Business Advisors, he practices Business Coaching and Mentorship and is an accredited Facilitator/Assessor for BankSeta, Services and ETDP Seta.

Mr Kalicharran has qualifications in Insolvency Law, Associate Diploma (Banking), Bank Credit Management, Project Management, Management Advancement Programme, Certified Professional Coach and Director training Part 1-4 at IODSA. He is a member of Directors SA, Business Advisors SA and Bankers of SA.

Mr Gerhardus Johannes Koen

The legal and regulatory environment is Mr Koen's passion. A wide range of legal and regulatory activities is part of his experience, including private practice, corporate legal counselling, as well as active participation in industry forums. To work with people, focus on fairness and to provide legal and regulatory guidance to his stakeholders are some of Mr Koen's core capabilities and passions.

Mr Koen's motto - make a difference every day, irrespective of the hour of day. Lastly, he has confirmed that he believes that to live a balanced life is important.

Ms Denise Dawn Mantle

Ms Mantle is an experienced human resources professional who worked in the banking industry for over 40 years. She holds a B. Comm Honours degree, as well as a Business Management and Administration Honours degree. She was elected as an Associate of the Institute of Bankers and is certified as a Global Remuneration Practitioner by WorldatWork.

Ms Mantle has served as an employer-nominated representative for the Board of Trustees for Bankmed for 9 years and as Chairman of the Board for 3 years. She has also served as an elected member of the Board of Trustees for the ABSA Pension Fund.

Ms Tebello Pricilla Maseko

Ms Maseko is a B. Comm Economics and Econometrics graduate, majoring in Econometrics, Financial Planning and Investment Management. She has a B. Comm Honours degree in Financial Planning from the University of Johannesburg. She has successfully combined her studies with other commitments such as community and leadership, which, she states, is a clear indication that she is self-motivated, organised and capable of working under pressure.

Ms Maseko worked at ABSA since 2014, she currently holds the position of Exposure Manager in the trade industry. She confirms that her aim is to constantly push boundaries to meet her personal goals and objectives as well as those of the company.

Mr Nande Nqoloba

Mr Nqoloba is a qualified Chemical Engineer, with 6 years of Process Engineering experience in the Manufacturing, Recruiting and Financial Services industries. His areas of focus currently include consulting to business areas, stakeholder engagement, project management and execution.

Mr Nqoloba confirms that he believes that his knowledge of the engineering landscape, understanding of business principles and dynamism equip him to be an effective change agent. An opportunity to serve on the Board of Trustees for Bankmed is a platform to voice his diverse needs and those of his colleagues, learn from fellow trustees and add value to the organisation when it is essential.

Ms Tsholofelo Florence Ramokoka

Ms Ramokoka is an experienced Business Performance professional with over 31 years' experience in Data Analytics, Business Analysis and Process Engineering, mainly within operations in the banking industry. She confirms that she has strong technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record in various management positions.

Ms Ramokoka is currently studying towards her Masters in IT (University of Pretoria). She holds a B. Comm (Informatics) degree from the University of Pretoria and a H. Dip Computer Auditing (University of Witwatersrand) qualification. She is certified in ITIL Service Management and has other technical certificates. She was awarded the Mark of Excellence at Standard Bank in 2014 and 2017. She confirms that she is a hard working community builder through trusteeship in community development (Batlase Development Trust).

Mr Lesibana Herbert Shika

Mr Shika is a Johannesburg based, degreed metallurgical engineer. He currently works as a business process engineer at ABSA (Pty) Ltd. His career began in the minerals processing industry where he pioneered revolutionary process circuits, which transformed the balance sheets of many top mining organisations.

Mr Shika's passion for education has led him to serving on the Board of Trustees of PEPPS Schools based in Limpopo province. He confirms that he possesses great foresight abilities, is an actively growing leader and believes in the balance of generational, and demographic representation in forums of engagement where masses are represented.

Mr Josephus Johannes Theron

Mr Theron was born in the Free State where he matriculated at Grey College in 1975. Currently, he is a retired banker who worked in the banking industry for 34 years. During this time, he held various management positions ranging from branch, regional to national manager in the ABSA vehicle finance division.

In the last 5 years of his career, Mr Theron took the responsibility as Principal of AVAF collections, with excellent commercial and other results. He obtained his B. Comm and Hons B.Comm degrees through UNISA in 1998. He has been married for 38 years to Ansie, father to Johan Jnr and Jolandi, and grandfather to 7 grandchildren.
