You could win a R1 000 voucher by updating your details

As your partner in good health, we’d like you to take a few minutes to make sure all your contact details are up-to-date. So we can send you important information about your healthcare cover and membership. We do require a cellphone number and an e-mail address, for you to use our digital tools on the Bankmed website.

Membership matters

Our e-mails and digital tools all exist to help you manage your membership and place important information at your fingertips.

We need your contact details so that we can inform you about transactions that impact upon your membership, benefits or finances. For example, if you need to have an operation in hospital, we send you information about how Bankmed will pay for your hospital stay, the treating Healthcare Professional (whether they are network Healthcare Professionals or not) and any scans to be performed, what rate we pay to the various providers and will inform you about potential co-payments.

We also use your details to tell you when our benefits change or if there is a problem with your membership so we can correct it, and you can plan ahead. Being in touch prevents misunderstandings and unpleasant surprises.

Use our digital tools to check and update your details and like our Facebook page:

  1. Log in
    • There will be an ‘Update your details’ block at the top of the page, as soon as you login. Make sure you click on the ‘checking and updating your details’ button.
    • Follow the prompts to check that your details are still correct.
    • Update them if they’re not.
  2. Like the Bankmed page on Facebook:
    There are two Bankmed pages, so make sure you like the Bankmed page that’s labelled as Medical and health.
