Are your contact details up to date?

As we enter the last quarter of 2017, we would like to remind all our members to take a moment to update their contact information via the member log-in portal on our website or on the Bankmed App.

Bankmed loves the environment and in order to reduce our carbon footprint we are urging all members to register to receive information via e-mail instead of snail mail. If you haven’t yet supplied an e-mail address for your notifications and claims and statements you can do so on the website or the Bankmed App

The advantages of Bankmed’s digital tools extend far beyond notifications and claim statements and will not only save you time but ensure you get the most out of your Health Plan.  

Did you know you can do the following on the App or Website?

• A digital membership card in your pocket – the digital membership card is a safe and secure way to store all of your membership details on your smartphone. No need to store yet another plastic card in your bulging wallet as the digital card serves the same purpose and is recognised by all Healthcare Professionals.
• Submit and view your processed claims – Submitting a claim is as simple as taking a photo with your smartphone and uploading it via the App or website and viewing processed claims can be done via the claim tracker tool.
• Avoiding co-payments – Find a Healthcare Professional with whom we have a payment arrangement with and ensure full cover in and out of hospital.
• Download Tax Certificates – Request your membership certificates, tax certificates or policy documents via the App and it will be e-mailed directly to you or simply login to the website.
• Access your Electronic Health Record – View a full medical record of all your doctor and hospital visits, prescribed medication, blood tests, X-rays and more.
• Give your doctor consent to access your Electronic Health Record - Granting your consent allows them to gain insights into your medical history, make referrals to other Healthcare Professionals, write electronic prescriptions all at the touch of a button.
